For more than 20 years, W. Gary Smith has been assembling a thought-provoking collection of images. These visually stunning images will show how simple patterns occur over and over in a wide range of scales from the microscopic to the entire Universe - from a snail’s shell to the Milky Way! This presentation will surely enrich the way you look at your own garden, as well as the world around you every day.

Artist W. Gary Smith celebrates the connection between people and nature, specializing in temporary environmental sculpture, or “Earth Art.” Recent installations include “UPROOTED,” an exhibition at the

New England Botanical Garden in Boylston, MA; and “NEST: Creating Home,” ten pieces at Filoli House and Gardens in Woodside CA. “Carbon Cycle,” a seven-acre project at the Pittsburgh Botanical Garden, refers to the site’s history as a reclaimed coal mine that became the site for the botanical garden. Created in 2022, Carbon Cycle will be in place until 2026
