Upcoming Virtual Lecture hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Hardy Plant Society. Free to all HPS/MAG Members. $15 for Non-members.
It’s all about moss magic! Join nationally recognized moss gardening expert, Annie Martin, aka Mossin’ Annie, as she provides inspiration and valuable guidance for creating inviting moss landscapes.
Mossin’ Annie will provide an informative program featuring impressive photographs that emphasize the joys and environmental benefits of mosses (bryophytes). Often overlooked as an intentional horticultural native plant choice, there are moss species that thrive in shady areas where nothing else will grow; yet there are other species that tolerate sun exposure as well. Choosing appropriate moss species and recommended planting methods and maintenance will be covered. An overview of the unique botanical features of these miniature plants will distinguish mosses from vascular plants. Mosses offer year-round green appeal in our landscapes, even in cold winter months.
