The Annual Fall Gardeners Market 2024

Like most avid gardeners, you’ve probably been observing how your garden has evolved from season to season over the past year and have decided that you’re ready to make some changes and/or additions. So now you need plants – lots of plants. Since fall is one of the best times of the year to plant, and our vendors offer the best plants and advice, you won’t want to miss this year’s Fall Gardeners’ Market. Find unique plants for your new or existing rock garden, native plants for your pollinator garden, quality trees and shrubs, and lots of wonderful sun and shade perennials. It’s a great plant sale and a fun time!!

The Fall Gardeners’ Market will be held on the grounds of the Farm, Home & Youth Foundation of Montgomery County in Collegeville, Pa; also, the home of the Montgomery County 4-H Club. Located in a beautiful country setting, this site offers plenty of parking and plenty of space for shopping and socializing. Our vendors will be set up in a covered space so you can shop in comfort come rain or shine.

The 2024 Fall Gardeners’ Market will offer the following:

  • One-stop Shopping with a variety of Fabulous Vendors, including sellers of succulents; native plants; a wide variety of perennials, trees, and shrubs; and lots of unique specimens you won’t find elsewhere.

  • Special pricing on nitrile Gardening Gloves.

  • Raffle of plant related items from the vendors and some individuals.

  • “Plant Park” where you can corral your purchases while you continue to shop.

Demonstrations/Activities during the Sale:

  • Seed Saving Activity with Susan Doblmaier
    Susan will demonstrate how to save your seeds for your own sowing or for donating to a seed library or a seed exchange. You can practice on a wide variety of seeds that have been collected from local gardens, including the Montgomery County Master Gardener Learning Gardens. And you can take home some seeds!
    If you are wondering how to collect the seeds from your own plants, please bring your own seedheads.

  • Walk-Up Soil Clinic with Thom Mrazik
    The Master Gardeners will also provide a walk-up soil clinic. Join Thom and learn about key factors leading to healthy soil, including soil textures and functions. Acquire knowledge about good in-ground soil structure, carbon amendments, macronutrient testing, and how to protect your soil. Based on this health check, you will receive a take-home summary of top tips to improve your soil's health.
    Share your own toughest garden soil problems and go home with solutions.
