JANUARY CLUB MEETING VIA ZOOM, WHY WE NEED BATS

Holly Niederriter is a non-game wildlife biologist with the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife. Bats are frightening to many people. They’re often thought of as dirty, disease-ridden animals that want to suck our blood. None of these beliefs is true. Delaware’s bats are really quite small, have good personal hygiene, are timid and none of them suck blood. Learn more about efforts to protect the heath of our bats.

Hostesses: Conservation Committee.
