Zone V Mini-Meeting

  • Longwood Gardens 1001 Longwood Road Kennett Square, PA, 19348 United States (map)

The West Chester Garden Club looks forward to welcoming you to our program with the theme:

A Nod to Natives, Sustaining our Birds, Bees and Trees. We are thrilled to be able to offer Longwood Gardens for our meeting locale! Founded by Pierre S. du Pont, Longwood offers over 1077 acres of gardens, meadows and woodlands. It is one of the premier horticultural display gardens in the United States. You will have the opportunity for a special tour of the grounds by Longwood staff. We have secured two speakers each of whom will talk about their distinctive knowledge of native plants. And finally, we have arranged time in our schedule so you will have an opportunity to view the 14 exhibits proudly prepared by each Zone V club reflecting our meeting theme.

Speakers

Ethan Kauffman: Biodiversity by Design: A Gardeners' Perspective, Director of Stoneleigh, Villanova, PA

Joshua Hitchner: Native PLants, Lost in Practice? GCA Scholarship Recipient - The Katherine M. Grosscup Scholarship in Horticulture
